What are the tasks of CLEAN COOKING MADAGASCAR ?
- Promote the Madagascar Ethanol Stove Program through an Awareness Campaign
- Support and capacity building for partners and stakeholders in the Madagascar Ethanol Stove Program
- Certification of Micro distilleries
- Quality assurance of all aspects of the Madagascar Ethanol Stove Program in accordance with the Program Operational Manual
- Promote the use of Micro Distilleries. Two micro distilleries will be partly funded by Clean Cooking Madagascar in order to ensure technology transfer. Further technical support will be provided to other certified micro distilleries.
- Training to sugarcane growers to ensure efficient and environmentally sound production of feedstocks for certified micro distilleries.
- Communicate with all stakeholders in the Madagascar Ethanol Stove Program.
- Conduct monitoring as part of the Carbon Credit program that is ultimately funding the program.
- Monitor for Development value of the projects supported by Clean Cooking Madagascar. This will be done in accordance with approved methodologies so that the development values can be validated by certified third parties.
- Support and engage partners to provide clean drinking water to households in Madagascar
- Support and engage partners to provide biogas stove to households in Madagascar.
